It’s been a busy few months since my last post with a large proportion of my work comprising desk-based ecology support and proof-editing.
This month saw the launch of a new project and something a little different in the form of a combined art and writing series. The series brings together my love of nature, art and storytelling, and comprises a number of animal subjects, whereby the composition of the drawing complements an accompanying poem that I have written about the animal, which combined, explores their mystique and character.
The idea for my nature folk art series has been one I have had on hold for a while now, so it is really exciting to see it coming to life, although slightly daunting as it is such a personal project.
The first in the series is the blackbird – a species I am particularly fond of and enchanted by.
The drawing and poem is available to purchase as a print from the nature folk art section of my online art shop.
I have just completed the next one in the series, which should be available to purchase in the next couple of weeks and focuses on the ever magical, brown hare.
I really hope you enjoy the folk art series and many thanks for your support to date.
